Vera: A casual encounter

The response to my personal ad was unexpectedly relevant, loud and clear first thing in the morning. I had a good feeling from the subject line that it wasn’t one of those “wut you up to hon” messages, or the scammers or men or porn sites. “Vera” is a tale of exclusive but not committed desire, a stable short story set in San Francisco in the early 21st century.
